FLEET MAINTENANCE/RECORDS KEPT

Engine tuning is the adjustment, modification or design of internal combustion engines to yield optimal performance, to increase an. We include a wide variety of adjustments and modifications, from the routine adjustment of the carburetor and ignition system to significant engine overhauls. At the other end of the scale, performance tuning of an engine can involve revisiting some of the design decisions taken at quite an early stage in the development of the engine.

Setting the idle speed, fuel/air mixture, carburetor balance, spark plug and distributor point gaps, and ignition timing were regular maintenance items for all older engines and the final but essential steps in setting up a forklift engine. On modern engines, equipped with electronic ignition and fuel injection, some or all of these tasks are automated, although they still require periodic calibration. At Sal’s we maintain your fleet with the expertise you require.

Battery services Our technicians can come to your location and perform an initial evaluation of the condition of your battery. This evaluation consists of voltage tests, hydrometer readings and load testing of the battery. With this evaluation we can detect 90% of your battery problems. We offer routine battery services for items such as checking, adjusting and the monitoring of electrolyte and acid concentration levels. We handle battery repairs such as: replace cells, cables and straps at your location which will minimize repair costs and downtime.

Breakdown service Our technicians will be dispatched to your location the same day/ next day after receiving your call. All breakdown service performed first-come-first-serve!

Scheduled maintenance services Our technicians will come to your location to perform a 50 point inspection of your forklift to detect any deficiencies before they lead to more expensive repairs if neglected. We will never perform any repairs beyond the scope of the inspection without your authorization. An engine oil change is included in the price of any scheduled maintenance inspection.

Tire service Our technicians will come to your location and press new tires on your forklift. Usually within one hour we can change all four tires which will minimize downtime and the cost of transporting the tire to our shop and pressing the tires there.

Scheduled Forklift Maintenance
This program consists of a 50-point inspection and lubrication of your electric forklift or propane forklift. Just like your car at home, the forklift, under normal conditions, will need forklift maintenance performed at regular intervals.
